Looking to hire a fractional?

We’re not a marketplace. But we know good people.

If you’re a founder, exec, or investor looking to bring in fractional help—
you can fill out a short request form and we’ll share it privately with the community.

Someone might raise their hand. Or we might refer you to someone who will.

There are a lot of ideas out there about what “fractional” means.
C-suite titles. Team headcounts. Certain kinds of resumes.

That’s not what this space is about.

We care about the work.

If you’re helping companies part-time, on purpose, with real expertise—you belong here.

What this is

A Slack space for people doing real fractional work.
Sharing what’s working. Asking hard questions.
Talking about pricing, scope, onboarding, boundaries, burnout.

No hustle culture. No guru threads. No pitch decks.

We’re here for the in-between:
the space between freelance and full-time, between advisor and operator.
The messy middle where most of us actually work.

Who it’s for

Fractional CTOs, COOs, CMOs, CFOs, CPOs—and folks who don’t fit cleanly in any lane.
People running solo. People juggling clients. People building something real without needing a title to prove it.

Whether you’re deep in delivery, shifting clients, or just starting the transition—this is for you.

Who’s behind this?

I’m David Raistrick.

I write for fractionals. I coach fractionals. I take on fractional roles myself.
This isn’t theory for me—it’s how I work.

But this isn’t a funnel. It’s not a lead gen machine.
It’s a space I wanted but couldn’t find.

So I built it. You’re invited.

What does it cost?

Nothing.
No tiers. No upsell. No ad network hiding in the background.

Just a Slack invite and a shared intent:
to do good work, and help each other get better at it.

Want in?

This is a space for people doing the work—or getting serious about it.
If that’s you, you’re welcome here.

We ask a few short questions—not to screen resumes, just to keep the energy right.

FAQ

Do I have to be full-time fractional?
Nope. In transition counts. So does “figuring it out.”

Do I need a certain title or background?
No. We care about what you do, not what it says on your resume.

Is this really free?
Yep. Free as in: show up, ask questions, contribute when you can.

Are you trying to sell me something?
No. I coach fractionals and I’m active here. But the community isn’t a sales tool.
Ask if you want help. Otherwise, hang out and be useful.

Built by fractionals. For fractionals.
Because someone had to.
